Financial Support Hero

Ways to Give

heart - pictogram

Your generosity and belief in Ukandu makes everything we do possible.

Every gift, no matter the size, is meaningful and greatly appreciated. Your gift helps ensure that families facing pediatric cancer have access to the support, connection, and community they need and deserve.

Ways to Give

  • You can make a one time or recurring donation through our online platform here:

  • Please make checks payable to Ukandu and mail to:

    Ukandu

    601 SW 2nd Ave

    Suite 2300

    Portland, OR 97204

  • An increasingly popular method of charitable giving, a donor-advised fund, or DAF, is an easy and flexible way to manage your giving and help you achieve your philanthropic goals.

It’s easy to initiate a grant recommendation from your DAF directly to Ukandu:

    1. Make a one-time gift. Your gift will create hope, joy, and connection for families battling childhood cancer
    2. Create a recurring monthly, or quarterly gift. Initiating an automatic monthly or quarterly gift from your DAF is one of the easiest ways to provide reliable, predictable support to families all year long.

Please use the following details when recommending your DAF grant:

    • Legal Name: Ukandu
    • Tax ID:  46-4296454
    • Mailing Address:601 SW 2nd Ave, Suite 2300

    Portland, OR 97204

    • Website: https://www.ukandu.org
  • Many businesses offer the benefit of matching their employees’ personal gifts to a charity. This benefit is not always publicized, so talk with your employer directly to find out if they’ll match your personal gift to Ukandu.

  • Corporate Matching Gifts are a unique way for your business to multiply their impact! Matching gifts inspire other donors to contribute to Ukandu, taking the value of your gift far beyond its initial value. When you contribute a matching gift, your business will also reap the benefits of increased exposure to the Ukandu audience.

  • Donating stock is a simple and impactful way to support our work. Please contact Jenny Keating at jkeating@ukandu.org for stock transfer details.

  • A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $105,000 total to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions. As a result, donors may avoid being pushed into higher income tax brackets and prevent phaseouts of other tax deductions, though there are some other limitations. Talk with your wealth advisor to learn if this is a good avenue for you.

  • Gifts of property – real estate, art, high-value items will be sold at the earliest convenience, as determined by the Ukandu board of directors. Please note that acceptance of gifts of property will be at the discretion of Ukandu Staff and Board. We cannot guarantee acceptance of a gift of property. Please reach out to Development Director, Johnna Loreen, for more information.

  • Legacy or Planned Giving is a unique commitment to a cause made by designating a nonprofit in your will. This special form of giving ensures that you will be remembered for your generosity and commitment to a cause long after passing. For more information or to talk more about this possibility, please reach out to Ukandu Development Director, Johnna Loreen.
