Volunteer Opportunities

UKANDU Missions is looking for young adults (minimum 18 years of age) to become Missionaries In Training (MIT).  MITs will lead groups into Mexico to the various sites the UKANDU Missions are serving that time of year.

The MIT is a short-term missionary intern.  A person who is working as a liaison between two different cultures.  He/she will bring two very different groups together to worship, pray and work side by side.  Therefore the MIT must be fluent or near fluent in Spanish and willing to learn on the job.  Prior experience as a group leader is very helpful as well.  Most of all, he/she must have a heart given to humble service and willing hands to help anyone around them.

The MIT position is most needed during the summer months, but many trips are starting to be formed in March during Spring break.  If any of these blocks of time fit your schedule, then you should apply.

Financial Assistance
There is some assistance for expenses.  Otherwise the MIT is expected to raise all their own support.  The hope is that someday this will become a true internship position like working at camp during the summers.
